YES USA invites dynamic and outgoing professionals to join our immersive ESL summer camp program in New York and Miami, designed for international high school students. We are actively seeking dedicated teachers and enthusiastic excursion leaders to be part of the enriching experience during the upcoming 2024 summer camp season.
Position Overview: As a teacher/excursion leader, you will deliver effective ESL lessons and guide students through thrilling excursions in NYC or Miami.
Locations:
New York: St. John’s University (Queens).
Miami: University of Miami (Coral Gables).
Available Contracts:
6 weeks from July 2nd (NYC)
4 weeks from July 16th (NYC)
2 weeks from July 16th (NYC)
2 weeks from July 22nd (NYC)
4 weeks from July 3rd (Miami)
2 weeks from July 17th (Miami)
Successful candidates are expected to complete some training sessions, both virtual and on-site, before commencing their employment.
Housing and Meals: Housing and meals are available.
Requirements: Our ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in a field related to ESL, such as TESOL or Applied Linguistics, or holds a CELTA certificate or its equivalent. Prior experience working with teenagers and teaching English as a Second Language is preferred. Knowledge of the NYC/Miami area is a plus.
Hours: The position entails six working days per week + one day off, with a minimum commitment of 44 hours, comprising 15 hours of teaching and 29 hours dedicated to excursions/activities. This schedule includes four teaching days and three New York excursions/four Miami excursions.
Pay:
New York:
$780.00 - $915.00 per week (commuter staff members)
$648.00 - $783.00 per week (housing provided)
$512.00 - $647.00 per week (housing and some meals provided)
Miami:
$690 - $840 per week (commuter staff members)
$450 - $600 per week (housing and half-board)
