Qualifications and Experience
IB English teaching experience and IB English training (preferred);
English teaching experience using the US Common Core Standards (preferred).
Experience with competence based learning or standards-based learning (preferred).
Solid conceptual and applied knowledge of current research and trends in curriculum,
instruction, and assessment.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues.
A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in high school.
English proficiency (required).

Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to fostering the mission, vision, and values of Nido.
Engage in the Nido community by promoting a positive, collaborative school culture.
Teach five sections of English courses.
Collaborate with the English department to further develop and improve the English
curriculum- this includes participating in weekly curricular planning meetings withcourse-like teaching partners.
Serve as an Advisor for a small group of 8-12 high school students.
Engage in the co-curricular program at Nido by advising a club or coaching an athletic
team.
Participate in the annual Week Without Walls program.
