Modulo Language School — Teach English in Thailand

Are you a dedicated, fun, and energetic teacher looking to join a company that will support you every step of the way? Are you passionate about languages and eager to pursue a career in education? If so, then Modulo is for you.

Modulo was founded in 2013 and has since become one of Bangkok’s fastest-growing language schools with 5 branches around Bangkok’s bustling city center. They are a Western-style management company that is looking for qualified, enthusiastic, energetic, and eager top-talent English teachers determined to learn, improve, and deliver the absolute best lessons to students of all ages and levels.

About the Position:

  • Lessons: 110-130 lessons/month

  • Scope: Full-time with a flexible schedule

  • Class size: 95%+ of their classes are private one-on-one.

  • Student age: All ages (the majority of the students are adults).

  • Student level: All levels

  • Contract length: 12 months long and renewable

  • Teaching materials: Teachers are provided a curriculum, lesson objectives and materials (including coursebooks), but it is their responsibility to determine the most effective method of delivering the lesson content. They do not require submission of lesson plans or development of semesterly tests.

Modulo is open all year long, except for Thai national holidays, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. That’s a total of 20 days off throughout the year. They also have an extremely flexible leave policymaking it easy for their teachers to travel and explore Asia.

Teachers must be available to work both weekends and evenings (especially new employees). You will teach lessons until 9 pm on Monday to Friday, which means you must be comfortable working into the evening. Classes finish earlier on weekends, and they don’t start very early either. However, there’s no need to stay at school when not teaching.

Teachers receive two consecutive days off, and they are the same days every week. This means teachers tend to be free on days when the city isn’t too crowded! There’s also no need to be at school if you don’t have any scheduled lessons.
